Four Pieces of Literature You Need for Our San Jose and/or Miami
Presentations
For those who want to be fully prepared for our talks,
workshops, and individual meetings–both in California and during the Christian
Recovery Organization Summit of South Florida (CROSS Florida) conference
February 8-9, 2013, in Miami (www.CROSSFlorida.org)
, you will want to purchase and bring with you the following important pieces
of literature that will be discussed during the meetings:
·
The
Co-Founders of Alcoholics Anonymous: Biographical Sketches: Their Last Major
Talks (Item # P-53). This is an A.A. General Service Conference-approved
pamphlet that may be obtained from an A.A. Intergroup or Central Office, or
from New York. It is also available from A.A. for online reading (http://www.aa.org/pdf/products/p-53_theCo-FoundersofAA.pdf),
although we encourage you to bring the physical pamphlet with you.
·
Alcoholics
Anonymous: The Original 1939 Edition, with an Introduction by Dick B.. [Mineola,
NY: Dover Publications, 2011). This book is available from Amazon.com: http://mcaf.ee/kpily;
·
Dick B. and Ken B., Stick with the Winners! How to Conduct More Effective 12-Step Recovery
Meetings Using Conference-Approved Literature: A Dick B. Guide for Christian
Leaders and Workers in the Recovery Arena (Kihei, HI: Paradise Research
Publications, Inc., 2012). This book is available from Amazon.com in paperback
and for Kindle: http://mcaf.ee/n6asx;
·
Dick B. and Ken B., Pioneer Stories in Alcoholics Anonymous: God’s Role in Recovery
Confirmed! (Kihei, HI: Paradise Research Publications,, Inc., 2012). This
book is available from Amazon.com in paperback and for Kindle: http://mcaf.ee/1fzd4.
The Major Objective Is Training the Trainers about Melding Old and New
Recovery
The purpose of our talks is to train the trainers. Train
them in the virtually-lost and ignored details of the early A.A. “Christian fellowship”
program, where it can be found, and how it is documented in the personal
stories in the first edition of the Big Book (1939). Train them in the abundance
of A.A. General Service Conference-approved literature available today and
which shows how compatible “The Solution” in the Big Book is with the seven-point
summary of the “old-school” program on page 131 of DR. BOB and the Good Oldtimers. Train them in how successfully to
apply the simple, effective, winning Christian techniques of the “old-school”
A.A. program in today’s “new version of the program,” published by Bill Wilson
in 1939.
Get These Four Workshop Tools to Follow Us and to Lead the Way
Yourselves
You will want these four tools to follow our workshops,
talks, and meetings. And you will want to master them to enable you to carry an
accurate “spiritual” message about how God can really help those suffering
alcoholics and addicts who feel hopeless and need to know the hope available through
His Son Jesus Christ and the Bible.
