What You Can Do
to Further Christian Recovery from
Alcoholism & Addiction
·
If you see something, say something. If you see
or hear of someone who desperately needs help for himself or for another, and
the afflicted person wants God’s help, put them in touch with one of the “Participants”
or “Christian Recovery Resource Centers” on this list.
·
If you know something, share it with others. Tens
of thousands of alcoholics, addicts, others with life-controlling problems, and
those impacted by such problems haven’t a clue as to the role that God, His Son
Jesus Christ, and the Bible played in early A.A.’s astonishing successes or in the
Christian Recovery Movement more broadly, or as to the roll they can play today
for those willing to seek God and ask for help. Tell them what’s available or
point to someone on this list who can do so.
·
If you hear someone say that Christians should
not seek help in A.A., N.A., or other 12-Step programs, tell them to contact
“Participants” and/or “Christian Recovery Resource Centers” listed on the
International Christian Recovery Coalition Web site and see how many Christians
today are doing what early AAs did—turning from seemingly-hopeless, revolving-door
disasters to the power, love, forgiveness, guidance, and healing that God has
been providing to AAs and other afflicted and affected people for decades.
·
If you are a Christian leader or worker in the
recovery arena, get in touch with one of these resources and realize how much
comradeship, friendship, and Christian fellowship is available to you across
the globe right now.
·
If you would like to serve, love, and glorify
God, as well as to serve and love others, contact us to list yourself--at no
cost whatever--as a “Participant” in the International Christian Recovery
Coalition. And then YOU can be one of those contacted by those desperately in
need of God’s help and receptive to the fact that we Christians in the recovery
arena are not alone!
