H-Net Academic Announcements Posting by Coalition

International Christian Recovery Coalition is a world-wide informal fellowship of Christian Recovery leaders, workers, newcomers, and concerned public who foster information about the role that God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Bible played in:

Christian recovery from alcoholism and the Christian organizations and people such as YMCA, Salvation Army, Rescue Missions, Evangelists at revivals, and Christian Endeavor.

The Christian upbringing of A.A. Cofounder Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith.

The origins, history, founding, original Akron A.A. Christian Fellowship program, and its successes.

The coalition was formed in July of 2009 following a nationwide conference of Christian Recovery Leaders at Mariners Church, Irvine, CA.

In addition to our website, our forum site, our blog, our facebook presence, and the many meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences held, we currently  publish informational content through these web media:

Christian Recovery Resource Centers (what they do and where)
Website lists of leaders, outreach directors, and  particiants--both found on www.ChristianRecoveryCoalition.com.

New on the scene is a vast expansion of our presentations on www.ChristianRecoveryRadio.com. They include access to 27 videos called "Stick with the Winners" and depicting how to learn, organize, and present meetings and information about the Christian roots and present-day application of Christian recovery in churches, fellowships, counseling, bridge groups, treatment and sober living programs, chaplaincies, and 12-Step and history study groups and meetings. Also a newly published "Stick with the Winners" Guide explaining good content, good organization, and good conduct of study meetings.

They also include direct free access to a long running radio show called "TakeTwelve12.com: AA History with Dick B.;" direct free access to more than 100 audio presentations by Dick B. on A.A. History and the biblical roots of A.A.; direct free access to a series of audio recordings by Miami attorney Russell S. on how to present God, Jesus Christ, and the Bible in an appropriate way at A.A. and other 12 Step meetings; direct free access to the many training videos by Ken B. and Dick B. already awaiting funds to post plus dozens more now in progress of being filmed.

The most recent and important outreach involves the dozens of radio interviews of Christian Recovery Leaders around the world by A.A. Historian Dick B., with six already posted, four more planned for next week, and a large number to come--all free on www.ChristianRecoveryRadio.com.
The fellowship greatly encourages networking and exchange of information and techniques now being successfully employed in Christian recovery by the many participants of the Coalition.
