Alcohololics Anonymous History: Hunger for Healing by God

Do people appreciate news of the role that God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Bible played in Alcoholics Anonymous History -- the Christian organizations from which it sprang, the Christian upbringing of its founders, how the first three AAs--all Christians--got sober by turning to God for help and then, being healed, helped others. Nothing new. The Young Men's Christian Association brethren in Vermont, the evangelists in Vermont, the Salvation Army books by Begbie, the success of the Gospel Rescue Missions, and the Young People's Society of Christian Endeavor all had a part in the lives of the founders and in the simple biblically oriented program they founded in Akron in 1935.

Here's one who just read the Silkworth story and wrote to tell his appreciation (identification info deleted):

Hi SIr,

Just received your great email on Dr Silkworth...BUT I accidently deleted it! Just this week I went ou ton a limb and shared this story and was going to forward it to the person but i deleted it can you re-send it PLEASE.
